Maintenance Service of Almirall Portals
Almirall is a multinational pharmaceutical company, focused on skin problems, located in Barcelona. It has offices in several European countries and the United States. The objective of the project was the maintenance of the current company portals, as well as the implementation of new developments and, finally, the provision of extended support outside working hours. New portals have been developed for different countries such as the Czech Republic, Slovakia and the United States, and relevant work is still on going in other countries. In addition, a study was prepared and delivered in order to migrate from the current version of Liferay 7.2 to a new solution based on Liferay 7.4 DXP Cloud and the subsequent migration of the different portals was also included in the roadmap. Parallel to the daily work, a line of research is being carried out to achieve improvements in the current systems, in areas such as security, software quality controls and performance improvements. Donation Portal COFARES CORPORACION SA
Cofares Group a Spain’s leading pharmaceutical distribution company. The objective of the project was the technological development of the Donation Portal, within the Public Area of COFARES. VASS, as a technological expert, carries out the development of a responsive and multi-language portal, enabling a form where users can attach their donation receipts. The Donations Portal constitutes a database of all the movements that occur throughout the process, in which the internal users of the COFARES Foundation will be able to manage all the donations, processes, receipts and signatures resulting from the interaction of donors with the platform. To this end, the Portal has also been integrated with the Redsys payment gateway. Thanks to the development of the project, COFARES can have a digital channel for the operations of its Foundation. Development of additional functionalities to the SAP standard COFARES CORPORACION SA
Cofares Group a Spain’s leading pharmaceutical distribution company, has carried out a series of improvement projects over time of its SAP processes to obtain improvements in the automation of processes due to the growth of the group both in terms of improvements in commercial management and supplier management. The developments have been tailor-made, covering the requirements specified by Cofares. The projects developed have led to improvements in business, logistics, procurement, contract management and supplier management. VASS Tasks: • Data interface for pharmaceutical orders • Automation of tasks for time efficiency in purchasing operations • Support and corrective and evolutionary maintenance • Change Management, focused on communicating and minimizing the impact in each of the countries involved, as well as in the affected areas • Upgrade of SAP CRM from version 4.0 to 7.0 • Development of the Customer Portal • Integration of the Customer Portal with SAP ERP Technologies: SAP

Portal Maintenance and migration GRIFOLS SA
Grifols is a multinational pharmaceutical company, whose main business activity is plasma processing. Liferay is the corporate portal platform in which there are currently published about 150 portals. It has an IT department with several Liferay profiles that govern the platform and manage business requests related to the evolution, maintenance and correction of portals already published, as well as the development of new portals. Since September 2020, Grifols has relied on VASS as a reference supplier to complete the internal Liferay team, which due to its size cannot attend all the requests from its business. The relationship model for the provision of this service is the squad. At Vass we provide the client with the required profiles and we integrate ourselves into the local teams and take on the tasks that the IT team cannot absorb due to its size. The number of people that form part of the squads is sized according to the internal demand. The service started with 2.5 FTE, at its peak it has reached 12 FTE. We are currently stabilized with an allocation of 7 FTE. VASS Tasks: • Development and corrective maintenance of the private donor portal in the USA, which manages appointments at donation centers, donations made, and donor data. • Evolutionary and corrective maintenance of the portal dedicated to the management and sharing of documents between Grifols and its clients. • Initial definition of the component framework • Development and corrective maintenance of the component framework. • Development of new portals: grifolsplasma.com and grifols.com. Public Salup Portal PSN Insurance
PSN is an insurance company founded at the beginning of the 20th century as an association of doctors to guarantee the future of their families. PSN offers a welfare complement to existing public benefits, to take care of those who care for others on a daily basis. Due to its origins, the fundamental base of its members are doctors, pharmacists, veterinarians and dentists. PSN was immersed in a transformation process, with organizational and commercial changes. The company wanted to place value on health area and, for this reason, trusted VASS to develop a specific portal in this sense. New portal –Portal Público de Salup de AMIC– (www.salup.com) contains product information and its advantages against another products, and it integrates appealing and visible recruitment forms in order to foster new leads and customers capture. Solution is integrated inside current AMIC applications ecosystem, and it’s based on Liferay platform, allowing a centralized management and satisfying different business goals. Thanks to this project, PSN obtained a public portal, totally homogeneous, with a pleasant look & feel and easy to contribute and modify. UBImedical is a premier facility at the University of Beira Interior (UBI), designed to bridge the gap between academia and the business world in health and life sciences. It consists of two main areas: Laboratory Area: This area supports technology transfer and innovation through resident laboratories led by UBI professors. Incubation Area: This area nurtures entrepreneurs and innovative companies, providing the resources needed to develop and commercialize new products. UBImedical plays a crucial role in enhancing Portugal's health sector by linking academic research with market needs, driving economic growth through new technologies and businesses. Recently the Portuguese journal "Jornal de Notícias" asked UBI to collaborat on a publication focused on the health sector. This collaboration promotes UBImedical incubator and its role in supporting health entrepreneurship, highlighting projects such as H2I that advance research and innovation in the health sector, contributing to the development of new technologies and solutions. Additionally, the publication features two startups working on innovations related to brain diseases. This joint effort underscored the impact of innovation on quality of life and aimed to raise public awareness about advancements in health and life sciences.

The Health Hub is a designated European Digital Innovation Hub in Thessaly, lying in the center of Greece, acting as a reference point of Digital Health at regional, national and European level. Health Hub could enable the communication with private companies and research organizations with interest in the exploitation of project's results and/or in providing feedback on project's approach.It is a one-stop-shop that delivers digital transformation services to SMEs and public administrations of the health and pharma sector and supports them in boosting their outreach, precision, innovation capacity, and networking efforts.
