The University of Beira Interior (UBI), in Portugal, has been establishing itself as a landmark institution in education, research, innovation, business, entrepreneurship, and informatics. With over 9300 national and international students from all over the world, UBI offers 32 undergraduate programs, 40 master's programs, and 33 doctoral programs across five faculties: Faculty of Sciences, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Social and Human Sciences, Faculty of Arts and Letters and Faculty of Health Sciences. 


The Faculty of Social and Human Sciences, particularly the Department of Management and Economics, focuses on business education. Faculty members are actively involved in entrepreneurship, contributing to respected journals, and participating in projects at both European and national levels. 


Once Research and development (R&D) are top priorities at UBI, the university has 14 R&D units, playing a crucial role in transferring technology from the university to the market and dedicated to achieving high levels of success in both teaching and research for the benefit of the entire community. 


The World University Rankings 2023 classify UBI in the “top 7%” and, according to the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2023, UBI is in the level 401-600 being one of the 600 best academies worldwide regarding the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals of UN.

The Universitat de València was founded in 1499 and, initially, was dedicated to the study of Medicine, Humanities, Theology and Law. Kaunas  University of Technology (KTU) - Lithuania

Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) is the oldest technological university in Lithuania, established in 1922, ranked among the top 4 percent of world universities and first among Lithuanian technological   universities according to national rankings. 


KTU students choose their own path of studies, combining different study programmes (in technological,  physical, creative arts, humanities, and social) to create various  combinations of majors and minors. KTU known for its linkages with business, leadership in scientific research. In 2022 KTU has participated successfully in 251 R&D&I projects financed by the European Union and national research programs. KTU was the leading university in the participation in H2020 and Horizon Europe competitive research grants in Lithuania. 


The University is in cooperation with more than 350 research and academic institutions in 51 countries of the world as well as the representatives of international business enterprises. KTU's Startup Space nurtures nascent  firms by offering much-needed help and information to new businesses, including health tech ones through EIT Health Hub Lithuania. Kaunas  University of Technology (KTU) - Lithuania

University of Patras - Greece

University of Patras is the third largest University in Greece in terms of students, faculty members, administrative personnel, number of departments and degrees awarded. It includes 35 Departments covering a wide range of disciplines. It also hosts 161 laboratories and 17 fully equipped clinics. 


Besides its distinguished path in education, the University of Patras excels in various fields of basic and applied research. The University of Patras has acquired international prominence in research areas such as Health, Environment, Biotechnology, Mechanics, Electronics, Informatics and Basic Science. 


A number of its academic Departments, laboratories and clinics have been recognized as centres of excellence on the basis of international assessment. UPAT will participate through its Communications and Information Technologies Laboratory (WCL-IT), established in 1967 at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, and especially through the Visualization and Virtual Reality Group

 

VVR was established in 2012 and is one of the eight separate research groups of the Wire Communications Laboratory (WCL), Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering, University of Patras. Stefan cel Mare University of Suceava (USV - Romania)

Stefan cel Mare University of Suceava (USV) is one of the most dynamic higher education institutions in Eastern Europe, with a tradition of over 60 years in the field. The ten faculties of USV provide 3-4-year undergraduate programmes, master studies, PhD and post-doctoral studies in areas such as humanities, technical, economic, natural and health sciences. The diversity of programs gives our academic institution the ability to meet the international challenges of an ever-changing society successfully. 


USV promotes activities fostering the entrepreneurial skills and mindset of students and graduates, in the context of regional market development through specialised courses, trainings, workshops, student competitions and summer schools that are organised and/or supported by the Business Incubation Laboratory (INCUBAF), the University Entrepreneurial School (SAS-USV), Growth with USV Centre, the Counselling and Career Guidance Centre (CCOC), the Student Entrepreneurial Club (CASt), and the Digital Media Centre. 


USV exploits knowledge through patents, technology transfer, business incubation, development of spin-off companies, as well as partnerships between the University, Public Administration and Industry leading to the commercial exploitation of the research results and regional development.

SmiLe Incubator is a life science business incubator based in Medicon Village in Lund, Sweden. Since the start, SmiLe has helped 100+ entrepreneurs commercialize their business ideas. Currently, there are some 30 companies in SmiLe incubator which, together with alumni companies, have attracted more than EUR 805 million in venture capital since 2014.  To date, 21 of SmiLe´s companies have launched an IPO. UNICERT S.A. provides certification services for individuals and legal companies with judgment number 148/21.1.2015., E.O.P.P.E.P. Board of Directors has given UNICERT accreditation in the field of professional qualification certification. The Hellenic Accreditation System (E.SY.D.) has accredited UNICERT S.A. to ISO/IEC 17024:2012 in Person Certification (in 136 schemes). This shows that the certification process is fair and based on proven skills, and it makes certifications valid and recognized as equivalent to those given by National Accreditation Bodies of the Countries-States (European Cooperation for Accreditation). UNICERT S.A. provides great services and customizable solutions to meet all certification requirements. 


The certification experience of our executives helps us figure out what our partners need and give it to them. Our examination system was developed by the company's development team and the University of Piraeus' Research Centre. The Center of Excellence PYTHIA in Larissa was founded by UNICERT S.A. and other companies, and is one of the major shareholders. 


Pythia wants to help improve high-volume integration of different types of medical data and AI for digital health transformation. UNICERT S.A. has 1.900 authorized affiliate centers in Greece. The firm is now expanding its Management Systems Certification services for legal companies in accordance with EN ISO 9001:2015 and EN ISO/ 27001:2013. ISOB Institut für sozialwissenschaftliche Beratung GmbH - Germany

ISOB is a private organisation for research, development and evaluation with a substantial experience in internal evaluation and quality assurance processes of development projects relevent to entrepreneurship, migration management, workplace learning and digital skills development. Based in Regensburg/Bavaria, ISOB is a member of the German Society for Evaluation (DGEVAL) and works according to internationally accepted evaluation standards. 


Furthermore, ISOB developed an expertise in managing health-related   technology development projects, namely the “Bayern Innovativ“ project PeCall   (subcontracted) “Personalised E Call“ (automotive) and the Erasmus+ project“HealthCom Simulator“. ISOB is member of the Bavarian Cluster of the Sensors Technology, which is a cross cutting key technology for the health   sector. ISOB has implemented more than 60 national and international projects  as Internal Evaluation and Quality Assurance leading partner.
